Yesterday we went to the Oregon Country Fair. If you haven’t ever heard of it, it’s an amazing collection of people and events. I can only describe it as “21st century hippies meet the Renaissance Festival”. People in costumes, children, really cool buildings and art creations, nature, good food, incredible stuff to buy (all handmade and very creative) … just amazing.

Jere and I drove up with his daughter, Desi, her twin girls, Aurora and Miranda, and their friend, Harley. My daughter, Elizabeth, drove down from Portland with her son, Coven. It was quite a group, as you can see in the photo.

I loved spending the day with the family, and had an especially nice couple of hours when Coven and I “went exploring”. I told him we could stop and look at whatever he wanted, so he dragged me from here to there (instead of the other way around). It was great. We had a lot of fun trying on masks from a vendor who had the most incredible masts of all kinds.
I also got to see a couple of soapmakers I have met by email, but not in person. That was nice!
My neighbor, Maureen, has a booth at the Oregon Country Fair, so I got to see her there too.
All in all, it was a great trip and a great day!
